This piece was inspired by my journey as a father. Parenting — and caring for children — keeps you on your toes, a constant balancing act that often feels like living adolescence on the edge. I wanted to capture that restless energy and tender unpredictability in clay.

Wheel-thrown from Laguna B-Mix Speckles and Speckled Buff cone-5 clay, the vessel stands approximately 6.5 inches tall with a width of 4 inches. The subtle speckling and warm buff tones echo moments of quiet calm, while the form’s slight asymmetry and lively surface reflect movement, surprise, and the small, unplanned joys of family life.
